The 2024 1 oz Platinum Kangaroo Coin features a leaping kangaroo in left-profile relief at the center of its reverse side. The design honors the 1936 release of an Australian copper penny with a similar leaping kangaroo in left-profile relief. The sun’s rays are stylized and placed behind the marsupial.
