The obverse of the 2024 1 oz Perth Mint’s 125th Anniversary Platinum Coin includes the left profile effigy of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne, where he displays the King wearing a suit and detailed facial features and his wavy hair. The other inscriptions encircling the effigy are “CHARLES III AUSTRALIA” and “100 DOLLARS”.

The coin’s reverse bears the eye-appealing and enchanting display of the most prominent coin series of the Perth Mint, the Koala, Kangaroo, and Kookaburra, arranged artistically, designed by Jennifer McKenna. Jennifer also depicts the golden wattle artistically indulged along with the animals. The golden wattle is Australia’s national floral emblem, displaying the national colors green and gold. On the top of the display is “2024 1 oz 9995 PLATINUM”, the bottom shows “1899 THE PERTH MINT 2024” engraved on a scroll, and on the left is the mint mark “P125”.
